Should I Bring My CPAP Machine to a First Sleepover Date?

So, you’ve made it to the big night—the first sleepover with your new date. The chemistry is electric, the vibes are immaculate… but there’s just one question lingering in your mind:

Do I bring my CPAP machine, or do I risk sounding like a chainsaw all night?

The Struggle is Real

Let’s be honest—sleep apnea isn’t exactly the sexiest conversation starter. Nothing says “romance” like strapping on a full-face mask and sounding like Darth Vader before bed. But at the same time, nothing kills the mood faster than snoring loud enough to set off car alarms.

Option 1: Ditch the CPAP and Wing It

If you’re feeling bold (or reckless), you could leave the CPAP at home and pray your body cooperates. Maybe you’ll magically breathe like a normal human for one night. Or maybe you’ll wake up to your date staring at you in horror as you choke on air like a fish out of water. Risk level? High.

Option 2: Own It and Bring the CPAP

Sure, it might feel awkward pulling out medical equipment in the middle of a romantic evening, but confidence is key. A quick “Hey, I use this to sleep better” is way more attractive than pretending it doesn’t exist—especially if the alternative is scaring your date awake with your midnight gasping.

Option 3: The Stealth Approach

If you’re not ready to make a grand CPAP entrance, you could try a strategic nap beforehand to lessen the snore impact, or casually bring it in an overnight bag and set it up while they’re in the bathroom. It’s like a surprise, but for oxygen.

Final Verdict? Bring the CPAP.

Look, if this relationship is going anywhere, they’re gonna find out eventually. And trust me—your date would rather deal with a little machine noise than wake up thinking they need to perform CPR on you. Plus, breathing is sexy.

So go ahead, pack the CPAP. If they like you, they won’t care. If they make a big deal out of it? Well… maybe they’re not the one after all.
